The Upper Chevreuse Valley near Paris is still a largely rural region. Subsequent periods of history have left their mark on the area in the shape of churches, abbeys, castles, manor houses, hunting forests, parks and gardens, and other features. Around the characterful towns, the countryside and woodlands still dominate. Fauna, flora, ancient stones, landscapes and history are here to be explored during a walk, a visit or a longer holiday.
